Joanna Cazden -- The Greatest Illusion LP
Original 1976 US private pressing on Sister Sun Records (catalog # NONE).1976 private press femme folk from Seattle (recorded 1973), which gets a positive writeup in Acid Archives, one track is about tripping, the album closes with a particularly spine-chilling a cappella bhajan, sung by a chorus of female voices.
"Interesting, obscure debut LP that might be described as a somewhat bummed-out post-trip Carole King in a pro-feel singer-songwriter style that combines spaced out, sincere hippie lyrics to create an unusual, personal statement. Strong melodies and inventive arrangements make this album reminiscent of the great cerebral femme acid tracks on the Sally Eaton LP Farewell American Tour." --Patrick Lundborg, The Acid Archives CONDITION: Cover VG++ / Vinyl VG+ cover has some faint marks on front, otherwise excellent; vinyl is in decent shape, looks to be a strong VG+ with some light surface scratching. Graded conservatively using Goldmine standards [G / G+ / VG / VG+ / NM / ]grade only used if record is brand new.
