Description
The Greatest Show On Earth - Horizons (EMI Harvest SHVL 769), a great copy of the classic 1970 debut album from this overlooked progressive jazz-rock band, featuring bassist Norman Watt-Roy (later one of Ian Dury’s Blockheads) and one of the rarest records released on the legendary Harvest label.
This is an original edition of the LP, with the matrix numbers A-1 on Side 1, and B–2 on Side 2, and ‘The Gramophone Co. Ltd.’ credit, suggesting that this is a very early pressing of the record. The vinyl is in very good condition, with no scratches, and only slight crackle to be heard, but it does boast a lovely, crisp, clear sound. The gatefold sleeve is also in very good condition, with just slight crinkling to the laminate, very minor wear to the edges and some rubbing to the corners, and it comes complete with a plain white inner bag. On the whole, this is a lovely copy of a much-sought after album, and it’s with much, much regret that I’m actually selling it, so this is an excellent opportunity to get your hands on such a rare item.
