Description:

Up for sale is an extremely rare and near impossible to find, highly collectible original 1994 US first vinyl pressing of Green Day's iconic breakthrough album, Dookie.

Promotional gold stamp on rear lower right. All etched numbers in vinyl confirm. 1-45529: This is the official catalog number assigned by Reprise Records for the vinyl release of Dookie.A: This specifies Side A of the record.-SR1: This represents the first mastering lacquer cut for the album. The "SR" stands for Specialty Records Corporation, a prominent pressing plant in Pennsylvania where this vinyl was manufactured. You will likely see a small, stamped "SRC" logo loop near these hand-etched number.


This copy features the legendary, un-airbrushed back cover artwork showing the Ernie plush toy from Sesame Street in the crowd. This graphic was quickly removed from subsequent pressings due to copyright concerns, making this original "Ernie cover" version a must-have piece of 90s punk rock history for any serious collector. No insert. Please review pics closely there appears to be some thumbtack holes in the corners. Sold as an extremely rare collectors item.
