Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. This is very good to excellent quality and is the best show from their first visit to Japan in '72. There are no instrumental breakdowns and the audience is very respectful Pink Floyd deliver one of the best early versions of their Dark Side Of The Moon suite.
“On The Run”, although a far cry from the synthesized chaos of later versions, sounds very appealing with Gilmour’s staccato rhythms meshing nicely with Wright’s cocktail piano. The tempo for “Time” is a bit slower than the released version. “The Great Gig In The Sky” is still ”The Mortality Sequence” with the Ephesians 5 reading and Malcolm Muggeridge’s speech.
“One Of These Days” sounds especially heavy in this recording with some very loud explosion sounds. Some collectors have commented that Sapporo’s “Careful With That Axe Eugene” is one of the very best ever recorded. Waters lets out a very blood thirsty scream that has the audience (and the listener) on edge.
Pink Floyd’s gig in Sapporo 1972 ranks among their best performances of the year. It is certainly one of the best from the short tour of Japan. Overall the album is a very nice collaboration into one definitive package and is worth having.
