Description
This is an ORIGINAL 1948 Triple 78 RPM LP Box Set release by GREGOR PIATIGORSKY, cello with RALPH BERKOWITZ piano :titled " A PIATIGORSKY RECITAL" with works by SCHUBERT: Introduction, Theme and Variations in B-Flat Major Op. 82 No. 2 & SCHULMAN: Fantasiestucke No. 1 Op. 73 (Fantasy Pieces) & FAURE: Elegie Op. 24 . Release on the COLUMBIA MASTERWORKS record label in Mono MM-808. The records were inspected under a bright halogen lamp and play graded for quality...awesome piece. No skips, no jumps, no major pops...very low background floor or hiss.
VINYL = EXCELLENT condition with light signs of paper scuff marks or play, plenty of gloss and shine, clean labels free of writing and major spindle wear. Graded under a bright light for defects.
COVER/BOX = EXCELLENT with one seam split on upper lid corner...no other splits, solid spine, very little edge wear, no real ring wear, one dent on back part of box, inside record pockets are intact and have some writing on one page, age marks on front and back, box lid closes firmly and is still attached to base...generally it's a strong EXCELLENT grading
PLAY GRADED = EXCELLENT with clean bold sounds and low background sounds, a truly clean play. No major ticks or pops, no skips or jumps...an awesome listen for a very rare record.
