GREGORY ISAACS - The Greatest (Earthquake) - Pre-release LP - 1976

Very nicely presented original pre-release copy of Gregory Isaacs' killer The Greatest LP, released in 1976 on the Earthquake label. The vinyl retains a very good sheen with some light and a few lightish SUPERFICIAL surface marks, some fine, light hairlines and a couple of very light scratches - nothing significant - see descriptions below. BOTH SIDES PLAY BEAUTIFULLY. Normally issued in a plain cover, this copy has found its way into an original cover of the Mr Isaacs LP on the Cash & Carry label, which has a similar tracklisting.
A-side (DSR4053A): There is only a tiny hint of any background noise - hardly audible in fact - with some tiny and very occasional very small pops and clicks. A small scratch causes clicks ranging from very small to moderate, most somewhere in between, during the last 45 seconds of the final track. Grade - EX down to EX-B-side (DSR 4054A): There is only a tiny amount of any background noise - hardly audible in fact - with tiny and some very small pops and clicks plus eight moderate ones on Track 2 caused by two very small pressing marks. Grade - VG++/EX- up to EX
Labels: Both labels are pristine (see scan).
Sleeve: There is a 8cm split to the bottom and an 11cm split to the spine, a little lightish wear to the edges and corners, some light creasing and a couple of recordshop stamps on the front (please refer to the note in green above regarding the sleeve).
