GRETA KELLER radio-station interview 78 rpm 12" double-sided acetate Recorded by WCMB Lemoyne, Penna recorded in 1949 Fred Robbins has credit on the a-side label: he is probably the interviewer. We (only) spot-checked the sound, which is "excellent". There is almost no surface noise, though the first inch of the a-side has an edge-patch of dust that makes some noise, but the rest of each side plays great after that section has played through. The acetate surface is visually graded and looks VG++, one of the cleanest looking old acetates we have ever come across. Side 1 has 3 bands, side 2 has only one band. There is a "lock-groove" between the bands on the first side. The only important flaw to note, other than the dusty patch, is that the lock-groove after the second track is worn and some of the aluminum is showing (the last owner may have left the tonearm in place and the groove "wore out", exposing the aluminum.) but that doesn't affect play at all. Record comes in a plain sleeve.
