Description

Very nice UK PRESSING of the classic Groundhogs 'Blues Obituary' LP on the black Liberty label with Tony McPhee's autograph on the sleeve and A-1, B-1 matrix suffixes.

The single fully laminated sleeve has edge creases, light ringwear, creasing and roughness to the opening edge and some old pinhole marks to the top left corner. There is also a little laminate lift to the spine edge and the name Ian written in very small letters in biro on the back. It is complete, structurally sound and exhibits nice colour, and overall grades VG. The only provenance I have for the signature is that a previous owner knew Tony McPhee and asked him to sign this sleeve.

Vinyl plays extremely well, with super, strong audio, just a little surface noise here and there. The surface is very clean, glossy and shiny, with some light hairlines on both sides and, on side 1 track 1, there is a more obvious 1 inch line which does cause a few light clicks, and a couple of light scuff marks which seem to have no effect on audio. There is also a light skating line on this side, again with no effect on audio; side 2 has just a few light hairlines, and looks better than side. This is a great playing copy and overall, the vinyl grades VG+ to EX-.
