The third album for Tony McPhee's band, and the first of a trilogy of concept albums that includes the ensuing "Split" and "Who Will Save the World" releases. Here, we confront the theme of war as the music runs torridly in search of obsessive riffs, while the vocals are dramatic giving the impression of imminent disaster, leaving space to the feverish ponderings found in, "Stranger Town", and in, "Soldier". For the first time, rightly the group and album rise up in the classifications for this, considered by many as the groups best work. Here reissued, dressed exactly the same as the original. Original pasted U.S. hardboard sleeve.
