Description: Original Canadian pressing on the obscure Rococo label catalog # 2029. Guila Bustabo was an exceptional virtuoso violinist. Unfortunately, due to her overbearing mother Blanche she was forced to stay in Europe during WWII and begrudgingly preform for the Nazis. This, of course, left her black listed and never to be recorded again, leaving us with only two other LP vinyl releases; one under a pseudonym on the Royale label and a personally pressed 2LP collection of her 78s in the 1970’s. The music itself is a sublime performence of Bruch Concerto No. 1 for Violin and Orchestra in G Minor, Op. 26. Monophonic only as these recordings were sourced from rare live tapes from the 1940s. This is the only possible way to attain these recordings on vinyl.
