In 1985, a new band formed in Los Angeles, and eventually became one of the biggest bands in the world. Two groups (Hollywood Rose and L.A. Guns) combined into one, and they called themselves Guns N' Roses. By 1987, they signed with major label Geffen Records, and released their debut album. That debut is in the top 10 best selling albums of all time (here in the US), and have sold over THIRTY MILLION copies worldwide since its release! The subsequent albums haven't done as well as 'Appetite For Destruction', but no matter, G N' R set the music world on fire, and became international superstars! (I first saw them around '87 or '88, when they opened up for The Cult. No one knew who they were!)

The band (with original members Slash, Axl Rose, and Duff McKagan) still tours, and is currently on a tour right now! In 2020, Geffen, by way of Universal Music, released a greatest hits collection. One format is the TWO album picture disc set! These contain fifteen hits, from the albums and movie soundtracks, and each one a rocking classic! It's really cool artwork, with the classic logo on the "G" side, and band pics on the "N", the "F'N", and the "R" sides.  Put those letters together...get it? Lol

And since we're making this a TRIPLE SHOT, I'll add the REMASTERED TWO disc edition of their best-selling debut album! They cleaned it up, remastered it, and added FIVE Sound City Session tracks from 1986, an acoustic version of "Move to the City", and a new track previously unreleased ("Shadow of Your Love")! The second disc also contains some live tracks, as well. With a 24 page expanded booklet and some new art, this is a sweet reissue of the album that put G N' R on the map and made them a household name!

And last in this triple shot is from 1992, and turned THIRTY last year! It is a CD single from the 'Use Your Illusion II' album, (also released in 1992). Titled ''Pretty Tied Up", this special promotional copy was not sold in stores, but sent to radio stations and record stores (to promote the album and single). It came tied in twine, and is very, very cool!

The greatest hits picture disc was purchased new, but never sealed. It was never played by me, or even taken out of its original, clear PVC gatefold jacket! The hype sticker contains the credits and track listing. A really cool G N' R collectible! The 2 disc remastered 'Appetite' CD set is also NEW, and NEVER OPENED or PLAYED! The booklet pokes out the slipcover on both sides, but the shrinkwrap is still intact (though torn slightly on one corner). The CD single "Pretty Tied Up" was purchased from another seller, but never untied or played by me (so, it could be perfect, or...with some scratches. I just don't know. I don't want to untie it to check it, as it looks exactly like when it was released).

The perfect gift for that G N' R fan in your life, and it's never too early to scratch off someone on your shopping list! Of course, these G N' R goodies can come home with you, but just remember to play them loud! Today's picture discs usually sound great, so don't hesitate. (Hey that rhymes! Lol) Take the vinyl for a test spin on your turntable!
