A nice condition and very presentable condition copy, with gleaming vinyl and excellent audio reproduction, of this very rare and highly sought after 1972 1st press prog rock/Krautrock gem, with earliest A/B & S1/S2 vinyl matrix numbers on the coveted olive green Brain Metronome record label, STEREO, 1007

The dead wax matrix numbers are :

Side 1    st-1007-A 0664. 147 S1 and "PF" (all etched) & stampers "1" and "G" at 10 o'clock and 9 o'clock respectively

Side 2    st-1007-B 0664. 147 S2 and "PF" (all etched) & stampers "1" and "D" at 1 o'clock and 12 o'clock respectively

A very nice condition & highly presentable copy of this original 1972 prog/psych gem with gleaming jet black sheen & earliest A/B & S1/S2 matrix vinyl - just a few very faint paper scuffs and some extremely wispy hairlines on each side, all non-feelable and purely superficial and only visible under a bright light; pristine very 1st press olive green Brain Metronome labels -  not even the usual one or two faint spindle trails...perfect!; nice condition 1st press laminated gatefold outer sleeve with firm edges and no creases but some mild intermittent scuffing on bottom edges, on the spine (which is a little more pronounced on the top half of the spine), adjacent to the spine on the top half of the front side (see photo - small areas of scuffing but noticeable), and some mild corner scuffing also - all colours/art work/text remain in excellent condition; brilliant STEREO audio quality with no sticks, jumps, repeats, skips, clicks or interference - just the hint of some extremely light background crackle at the very beginning of each side...nothing really; rock, prog, Krautrock, psych, acid, space...call it what you like but 1st pressings of this LP are now highly sought after and increasingly difficult to find. Some "Krautrock" albums do nothing for me - this one does, big time! Extraordinary and addictive!!

Comes with original plain white die-cut inner but I always supply a new plain white replacement inner sleeve for shipping purposes in order to protect the original.

In summary a very condition copy of this extremely rare and highly sought after 1972 1st press German prog rock/Krautrock gem (the truly excellent stereo sound quality being a real highlight), made even more desirable by being on the coveted olive green Brain Metronome record label. A "must" for any serious prog rock vinyl collection and will only continue to gain in value.

On the subject of postage, I take great care in the packaging of all items, using a proper vinyl thick cardboard mailer, along with extra protective flange edges, with at least two thick cardboard stiffeners. I take great care in separating the record from the outer sleeve in order to help prevent sleeve damage in transit and I always insert the vinyl, outer sleeve and inner into a clear plastic sleeve, thus adding further protection.

Mint

The records itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items, such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and /or creasing.

Very Good

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

Fair

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents are torn, stained and/or defaced

Poor

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents are badly damaged or partly missing.

Bad

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
