I think this obscure record by guitar player Guy Jacquet, original founder-member of Les Vickings de la Guadeloupe, is a new discovery to the tropical cosmic scene, at least to me ! Jacquet is really innovating on this 4th solo album that is in fact a killer hybrid album between funk, synth pop, zouk and electronics digital sounds. Includes Gadé Bien a massive tropical tune between New Beat and Funky digital with a socca drums pattern, slappy bassline, spaced out synth gimmick. A real sure shot for your DJ set. Alpha Six is another brilliant Caribbean Cosmic / Disco New Beat track. If you are familiar with library music you will see that Francis Personne (one of the Philopsis composer) is the sound engeener of the session. Really in the same vein as Claude Rodaps Syn-Ka or Ramon Pyrmée . Don't miss this confidential private album. NM copy.
