Super rare and in-demand 45. A legendary northern soul spin, "The Picture" was first played on the nothern scene by Gary Spencer covered-up as "Cody Michaels". The flipside, "Pretender", is an uptempo girl-group kind of dancer. This 45 has unfortunately not been well taken care of, it has got quite a few scratches and doesn't look good. There is some background noise and there is some distortion on the vocal parts. I don't know how to grade this, so listen to the soundclips below and make up your own mind. Perhaps it's good enough for DJ-ing, I don't really know.
