GALLAGHER & LYLE - 'HAPPY DAYS'

1968/9 UK 1-SIDED APPLE STUDIOS 7" ACETATE

**UNRELEASED TRACK**


Listening to this tuneful unreleased song sung by Gallagher & Lyle, it is easy to see why they were favourites of Paul McCartney.

The 1-sided, 7" stereo Apple Studios acetate dating from 1968/9 features a demo recording with a vocal duet accompanied by acoustic guitar.

The label is a genuine green & white Apple Custom Recording' label with the handwritten title 'Happy Days' and, for some reason, 'Lennon McCartney'.

DISC CONDITION


Label: EXCELLENT

As is usual for these labels, there is slight bleed through from the adhesive, but no tears or other damage.

Visual: VERY GOOD

The playing surface is clean & glossy bearing just a few minor marks & scratches, but no cracked or missing laquer.
The blank side of the disc has some dulled patches but both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable.

Audio: VERY GOOD MINUS

The sound is high quality and undistorted throughout. There are some intermittant ticks and minor background but no major faults.

N.B. I have played this disc only once and have made no attempt to clean it.
