Description
I'm a great record collector but circumstances have forced me to sell some of my treasured vinyl.
I have for sale here a copy of the much rarer 2nd album by Galliard which is called New Dawn and was released on Deram in 1970 with the serial number SML 1075.
It's a great copy and, as a collector, I feel bound to grade it accurately and with the fullest description that I can manage in a few sentences. I may undergrade it compared to some sellers who would grade this as EX/EX
The cover does have some wear and tear, a couple of sticker tears which have been coloured in (black on black) that aren't really that noticable except by looking close, slight ring and edgewear. As a collector I would conservatively grade it as VG. It does have some repaired edges (by which I mean the black edgewear has been coloured in black. The sleeve does however look quite good and not too bad at all.
The vinyl has a few marks here and there over the vinyl, a precise visual grade would be VG+, however it does play very well indeed, with only very, very minor surface noise which doesn't interfere with the LP at all. Many would grade this as EX but I think a more conservative grade would would be EX-.
Overall, the LP is fantastic and contains some great songs (It's certainlay a lot better and rarer than the 1st album Strange Pleasure). This features some great tracks such as the 9 minute + Sitar / Flute extravaganza 'Ask for Nothing'. And the last track - In you mind's eye features a Sine wave generator which sounds great.
Certainly an excellent album for the collector of Psych and Prog rock, this truly is an excellent album!!
Happy bidding!
