Description
Here's a solid copy of "Mother Samwell" b/w "Day In and Out" by Louisville's own The Waters, on the Delcrest label. Both tracks from this rare psych 45 were comped on the Deadly Dose of Wylde Psych compilation in the late 1990s, but the original remains very uncommon. A small batch has surfaced recently, but this consists of no more than five or six copies. This is widely believed and reported to be The Waters' only 45. It is not, but that's an auction for another time, and would require my finding a second copy of the other one. This record grades strong VG to weak VG+ according to Goldmine grading, or Ex- by european standards. Labels are quite clean, with only a bit of age wear. Both sides have moderate scuffing from being stored without a sleeve, but no scratches of any significance. The music is very loud, so any surface noise is quickly overpowered. Altogether a fine copy. I am donating all proceeds of this auction to a group of folks from Heine Brothers' Coffee here in Louisville, who are going to Guatemala to build houses for Habitat for Humanity. This does not affect the value of the 45, but it perhaps provides karmic value of some ilk, knowing that your hard earned funds are going to a good cause, rather than to the proverbial man. Shipping in the US is $4 by priority mail. Airmail shipping to Europe is $6, and to Asia $7. Insurance is optional, and at additional cost. Although records will be well packed, and removed from cover to prevent seam splitting, insurance is a good idea.
