Description

1967 Psych Garage novelty record

Jefferson Handkerchief: "I'm Allergic to Flowers" / "The Little Matador" - Challenge 59371. Promo copy General condition
  • Vinyl - Strong VG+. Has two minor scuffs (otherwise would be M-). Retains remarkable amount of luster and gloss given that it is 39 years old.
  • Label - VG. B-side has pen writing. A side is clean with some minor abrasions. Otherwise there is no further writing, tape, smears, drillholes, smudges etc.

"I'm Allergic to Flowers" is a July 1967 release. It was one of the keystones cuts on Pebbles, Vol. 3, The Acid Gallery. It was subsequently comped extensively, most notably on Mindrockers #1 and Garagelands #2. Even the flipside, "The Little Matador," was comped on Sixties Rebelleion #12.

This is a scarce record rarely listed on EBay. The band takes an outrageous punk novelty approach to the psych scene. The result is a wild parody of the Flower Power movement. It is an essential addition to any collector of psych or acid punk or to anyone trying to obtain every record every issued on Pebbles.
