Description

Cars (remix), Gary Numan; white label promo, 7" vinyl; excellent + condition vinyl, v-side Are Friends Electric? With publicity flier from Beggars Banquet, together with tour dates, belonging to legendary radio presenter and journalist John Peel, who was an early champion of Tubeway Army and Gary Numan in his highly influential Peel Sessions. With the name Gary Numan on the top left corner of the white sleeve in Peel's hand, part of his cataloguing system, common to many record from his collection. Beggars Banquet 1987: BEG 199.
Vinyl: Excellent +; lightest of crackle at lead in, plays through smoothly on both sides with no interference during the songs. No scratches, looks lovely, excellent +. Small white mark on run out groove on Side A, does not affect play. No spindle marks. Sleeve: Very Good +. With the name 'Gary Numan' in Peel's hand to top left of sleeve. Flier: Excellent +; no issues.
From the collection of legendary British radio presenter and journalist John Peel (1939-2004). Peel was instrumental in supporting bands and singers such as The Sex Pistols, Joy Division, Nirvana, The Damned, Queen, The Cure, The Clash, The Undertones, David Bowie, T. Rex others, helping bring them to the awareness of the listening public; his ‘Peel Sessions’ in particular providing a hugely important platform for emerging talent.
Will be well-packaged in a single mailer for protection. Provenance: from the collection of John Peel; proof of provenance will be supplied.
