Description
Bosworth BLP 135, ‘Movement in Rhythm/Rhythm at Random’. Original UK library LP, 1973. Cover: mint. Vinyl: excellent. Composers include the Gary Pacific Group.
Quite possibly the top title from one of the rarest & most consistent library series of all time. Bosworth issued their library LPs in extremely limited runs: less than 1000 copies of each title were pressed up, & they are hence notoriously difficult to get hold of. ‘Afromotion’ and ‘Blue Onion’ are cool tunes in their own right, but the track that everyone wants this for is ‘Knitting’ by the Gary Pacific Group (the alternative take on ‘Soft Wind’ from ‘Dusty Fingers’ and other funk and breaks comps.) For those of you who haven’t yet heard it, ‘Knitting’ is a flute-led, heavy funk mash-up, capable of tearing any club floor apart!
