Description

Here's a test pressing for an undocumented 1977 Island single that was never issued, containing two songs that have still never been released. It's by Gavin Christopher, and features his own versions of two songs he wrote for Rufus and Chaka Khan: "Life Is a Dance" and "Fool's Paradise." The catalogue number in the matrix is "IS 090," which would place it in June of 1977, right between Bob Marley's "Exodus" single (IS 089) and Steve Winwood "Time Is Running Out" (IS 091). The A-side plays perfectly, while the B-side has some noise in the intro from a dull spot in the gloss (looks like a pressing flaw). The audio linked below comes directly from this copy:
