Mega Rare LP of Gene Ammons - Happy Blues (Prestige 7039 - mono) 1950s Vintage yellow and black "fireworks" labels with Deep Groove rings and RVG on both sides - NOT a current re-issue! One of Ammons' best 1950s LPs also features Jackie McLean, Art Farmer, Duke Jordan, Art Taylor and Candido in an acknowledged classic that no serious jazz collector can be without
The LP is in VG/VG+ condition with marks that will definitely make noise and with much if not most of the original shine - not for the audiophile, but actually not trashed either - still, you will definitely hear noise on this one. The cover is in solid VG+ condition with some general age/shelf wear, but NO splits, NO tape, NO writing, NO stickers, NO stamps. Not perfect, but how many of these do you see anymore?
