Description

All records have been cleaned with a VPI record cleaning machine. The records are in VG+ condition and do show signs of previous enjoyment. The album has wear evidence on the lower edge. VG condition. Art work is by Flora. These eight sides are considered to be the most exciting and representative of Gene Krupa performances. Selections include "Tuxedo Junction", "Boogie Blues", "Drum Boogie", "Leave Us Leap", "Let Me Off Uptown", "Drummin' Man", "That's What You Think", and "Knock Me A Kiss". Vocals by Anita O'Day, Irene Day and Roy Eldridge. All performances listed as by Gene Krupa and his Orchestra. Album released in 1947. Columbia Album Set C-138. THESE RECORDS ARE PART OF THE ROBERT W. FERTIG COLLECTION WHICH WAS STARTED IN 1936. WE HAVE BEEN CARE TAKERS OF THE COLLECTION AND IN THE BUSINESS FOR THE LAST TWENTY FIVE YEARS.
