A Trick of the Tail is the seventh studio album by the progressive rock band Genesis and the first to feature drummer Phil Collins as full-time lead vocalist following the departure of original vocalist Peter Gabriel. It was released in February 1976 and there was several pressings that year. This is the extremely rare genuine first UK pressing.

First press sleeves have the Soho Square address for Charisma, as on this one. Later pressings have a different address. You may also see different matrices, such as A///3 and B///3, given as first pressings, but they are not. This is the extremely rare real thing: a GENUINE first UK pressing. The record and gatefold sleeve are both in excellent condition, without any obvious signs of use, and complete with the original illustrated inner sleeve (they genuinely look like they could have been bought new today). See pics. All items are the genuine originals bought together as a set in February 1976 (by me) not reprints or fakes. The LP is the original stereo LP on the Famous Charisma Label, which was only played a few times on top-end audiophile equipment.

This unique, rare, FIRST PRESSING, Genesis LP from the creative peak of the band’s career is virtually never offered for sale in ANY condition.
