Description

Released in October 1972, 'Foxtrot' was the fourth studio album by Genesis.  Produced by David Hitchcock, the group's sound really gels on this album....Gabriel's array of voicings give depth to the characters in "Get 'em out by Friday" and the massive "Supper's Ready", while "Watcher of the Skies" is one of the majestic classics of art/prog rock.  
On offer is a very first UK (CAS.1058) pressing from the initial October '72 release.....the audio is, in one word, sublime.  

Gatefold Jacket: Near Mint.....Arguably worth the asking price alone. Absolutely incredible....the nicest example I've ever seen.  Fully textured front and back....colours are still bold and striking.  Spine is solid and legible.  Inner gatefold is near perfect...save for a tiny bit of "foxing" (excuse the pun!)  still... I doubt there's a cleaner vintage UK cover out there. 
Original Inner-Sleeve: Excellent.....only the earliest pressings had this inner-sleeve inside.  Beautiful condition....no splits or fraying.  Previous owner has written "Foxtrot Genesis" at upper left in pencil. It can be erased ...but why bother?   
Record:  Excellent ~ Excellent+* .....lovely shine to both sides.  Pressed on thick and heavy vinyl. Labels look virtually spotless.  Both sides play beautifully and the audio is detailed and bold. *At the very beginning of Side 2 on the song "Horizons", there are 2 or 3 ticks and a half-second skip.  If you can deal with this very minor issue then you'll be in possession of a near perfect example of one of the most important and influential Prog albums of all time.
