CHARITY AUCTION – Genesis Nursery Cryme LP 1971 Pink Charisma 1st Pressing
I’m selling an extremely rare vinyl LP by Genesis all in aid of the charity Childreach International. I am fundraising for a trek in August to Machu Picchu. This ultra-rare Genesis LP is the 1971 1st pressing called ‘Nursery Cryme’.
It is a record from my father’s collection and given to me as a donation to the charity.
Vinyl:
The Vinyl itself is in excellent condition, it has only been played a few times. This seriously rare LP is on the pink Charisma label instead of the Mad Hatter label. There are no scratches on this very rare LP. Under a strong light there are slight paper marks, which are usual. No writing, no stickers on the cover or the label.
Sleeve:
The sleeve has a tiny bit of wear in the corners. But otherwise in excellent condition with a E.J.Day gatefold textured cover.
Label information:
The ‘Pink Scroll’ label was the first label design by the Charisma label. It was used between 1969 until mid-1972 in the UK. It started with the release of Lindisfarne’s Dingly Dell LP. It was then subsequently replaced by the Mad Hatter label, designed by Paul Whitehead. The pink scroll label has become very sort after and rare due to the early UK issues of albums from bands such as Genesis and Audience who were relatively unknown at the time.
Album information:
Nursery crime is the third studio album by Genesis and was recorded and released in 1971. It is first album to have the full line-up of Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, Phil Collins and Steve Hackett.
Track Listing:
1. “The Musical Box”
2. “For Absent Friends”
3. “The Return of the Giant Hogweed”
4. “Seven Stones”
5. “Harold The Barrel”
6. “Harlequin”
7. “The Fountain of Salmacis”
Matrix Numbers:
Side 1: CAS 1052 A1-U
Side 2: CAS 1052 B2-U
These are the earliest known matrix numbers of this pressing.

This album will be sent Royal Mail 1st class signed for with cardboard stiffeners in record packaging.
