Description

An original 1st press. Matrix A1/B2. Labels are correct for 1st press - LARGE MADHATTER. Etching 'Porky'. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original heavy card cover printed by E J Day. Let me assure you there is a BIG difference between the 1st issues and later copies. BIGLY!. Lyric insert very robust heavy card. We have a generic with the inner from the time too.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. A couple of superficial marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of payback with deviation in a couple of spots. Intros and inbetween are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A clean player by and large. Good clean feed by and large. I notice a few crackles early in SEBTP and a sub-1 second burst of distortion early in that same track. Track1 still plays very well - I am just being picky. But the audio has depth and excellent detail. This is the original George Peckham cut - and is by far the best way to digest this 70's classic. Very little to turn your nose up at. A bit of very slight presence in one brief passage per side - nothing distracting or annoying. A clean player by and large which is a hard find on these early fussy Genesis titles.
Cover (Ex-) A very nice clean front cover without much sign of ageing or wear. This title is very prone to deterioration so one looking like this - is a bit of a find. The rear seems to have avoided the ageing process. Minimal edge wear. Spine is 98% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Insert (Ex) Pretty much perfect. 
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No splits.
