Record: In excellent condition. Nice and glossy with no scratches. Probably better than excellent, with excellent sound quality. Played using a high quality Linn hi-fi.

Cover: Beautiful GATEFOLD cover. The cover is lovely with no bends, creases or writing. Spine sharp. Sticker (CAS 1074) placed over the original Charisma catalogue number (6369 944 D) - I assume by the record company! I also notice there is a faint, small pink smudge, that appears to be part of the pressing. Please see photograph. The sleeve has been stored in a plastic sleeve since I bought on its release. It has been subsequently stored in high quality flight cases since then.

History: Selling England by the Pound is the fifth studio album by Genesis and considered by many to be one of their best. It was released on 12 October 1973 through Charisma Records (Europe) and Atlantic Records (United States). It followed Foxtrot and was the band's commercial peak at that time, reaching #3 in the UK where it remained on the charts for 21 weeks. In 2012, the album ranked seventh in Rolling Stone's "Readers' Poll: Your Favorite Prog Rock Albums of All Time”.
