After spending 20 years in Rubbermaid storage boxes, most of my collection of 500 LP's is going to be made available on eBay, as quickly as the selling rules allow.
Many of the disks after 1974 were played only once, as I preserved them with my TEAC reel-to-reel (which I wish I still had). None of them are quadraphonic disks, but more than a dozen are special "half-speed mastered" disks from Mobile Fidelity, Nautilus, or individual labels. For albums which have never been opened since purchase, including a few of the half-speed pressings, I'm assuming "Mint" condition and listing them above the full Goldmine "Near Mint" value. Posters and extra goodies are included as noted.
About half of the covers still have the manufacturer's plastic wrapping (sometimes torn), something I don't regret doing despite decades of advice to the contrary, as those covers are still in excellent shape. Most of the 50's and 60's disks are more worn, and many of those covers have "TEDDER" in bright pink block letters lovingly crafted by my ex-wife, and have been de-valued accordingly. A few covers have distributor "cutout" marks or hole punches, some are faded or have wear marks, and many of the inner sleeves have yellowed with time or have small slits on the edges where the disk cut into the paper.
I'm not going to try playing or even cleaning these disks before shipment; I'll let buyers use their chosen methods for that. They were all in playable condition the last time I tried them on my Pioneer PL-510A with Shure V-15 Type III cartridge at ~1 oz (which I DO still have but rarely use). Exceptions to "Near Mint" condition, as defined in the 2013 Goldmine 7th edition reference, are noted in the individual listings, and can be reviewed in the photos for each album. So far I haven't noticed any warped disks while taking photos.
Shipping-handling will be $4 by media mail in special boxes I bought for that purpose. If you buy more than one on the same order, I'll find a way to refund the extra shipping if eBay can't.
