Description

A beautiful RARE Van Gelder MONO New York USA address BLP 4148 - George Braith - Two Souls In One - BLUE NOTE

Very clean vinyl showing 1 light, not deep, surface scratch on each side.

Played through, there are only audible, light, pops that can be heard during the silence at the beginning of side one, and the end of side two.

No pops can be heard during the tracks.

The labels are pristine, and show no spindle marks.

The label style and original inner sleeve  date this to 1966.

The thick cover is still very glossy, and shows a slight crease in the bottom left front. The corners are ever so slightly worn, all are pictured.

The back cover has a small bend at the bottom left corner, and a dark spot just about dead center on the cover.

There are NO seam splits.

ALL FLAWS ARE PICTURED.

Included is the original inner sleeve. And a mfsl inner sleeve.

THIS IS A VERY RARE LP. I believe it is a mono copy, as stereo is not stated. Both sides have the "Van Gelder" stamper in deadwax. Both sides have the New York USA address.

Rudy Van Gelder is widely regarded as one of the finest sound engineers in history.

The playing on this record is Driving, groovy ... this has it all. Early soul jazz.

GEORGE BRAITH (soprano sax & stritch), GRANT GREEN (guitar),  BILLY GARDNER (organ), DONALD BAILEY (drums).

Track Listing:
