This great sounding 100% complete UK pressing 3 LP box set dates from initial November 1970 release.

It contains 3 LPs on custom design Apple Records labels with the collective catalogue number: STCH 639

Labels 1-4 carry rare labels variations present on intially pressed copies:

• The 'Mecolico' publishing credit is missing.

• The 'An EMI Recording' in an unusual larger font/case.

• All include the 'Recorded in England' text which was meant for the U.S. release only and was quickly removed.

Stamper codes: 2/RD, 1RR & 1/RP, 1/GD & 1/GL, 1/GG

Disc weight: 141g, 137g, 149g.

The disc is housed within a 13mm deep U.S. printed box with orange paper lining inside both lid & tray.

The box is 100% complete with its 3 U.S.A. printed textured inners (no UK ones were printed)


and large U.S.A. printed fold-out poster.

Disc 1 & 2 Labels: EXCELLENT + Disc 3: MINT

All labels are clean & bright with just a collection of light spindle trails around the holes of disc 1 & 2. disc 3 bears none of these or indeed any other traces of wear whatsoever.

Visual: Discs 1 & 2EXCELLENT + disc 3: MINT

All playing surfaces are extrmeley clean and retain all of their 'as new' deep-gloss shine with little more than a single light surface mark on each side in strong daylight, but absolutely no other blemishes or wear - even directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp. Disc 3 is unmarked and 'as new' and all lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

Sound Quality: 1. EXCELLENT 2. EXCELLENT + 3. MINT

This copy has received moderate careful play and plays without any significant deterioration to the sound quality throughout or indeed any major faults. the only distraction which caught my ear during my careful play-check at volume was a touch of light background during quieter passages on side 1. Apart from that there is very little to fault and much more to enjoy. All sides are free form any clicks, pops or any other for of audible fault or wear.

Box: EXCELLENT

A remarkably clean & totally unworn example with a clean & unblemished front panel and no wear or damage to any corner to either the lid or the tray below. The inside is vibrant and unfaded and completely free from any writing or any missing paper.

There is a small repair to the upper edge but the hinge remains fully intact and the spine is clean & fully worded.

Inner-sleeves: EXCELLENT -

Clean & flat with minor handling wear and inevitable lower seam splits to each, but no other major faults.

Poster: NEAR MINT

Factory folded and unhung.
