Description
EXTREMELY cool, rare item. This is 'Somewhere in England' by George Harrison, with an alternate (and originally intended) cover, as well as alternate songs from the Warner release, and different mixes from those that were on the sanctioned studio album. This "alternate cover" has a bit of a history, as does the release and salvage of this album. I don't believe that there were actually any of these albums with jackets produced for the 1980 album, which eventually was released in 1981. These "alternate" covers started showing up in 1982, but there were very few of them made, and not part of any George Harrison discography. These are very rare items - one of the more rare of the Beatles and Beatles-related cover variations, even if not part of the Harrison discography. Graded at NM for the record, NM- for the jacket.
The songs on this album that were not on the 1981 release are 'Final Hour,' 'Lay His Head,' 'Sat Singing,' and 'Tears of the World.' The remaining songs are different mixes that did appear on the 1981 release.
