Description

A 1st pressing of Material World on the UK Apple label from 1974. Matrix 4U/2U. Etchings "GOT HITRE KRSNA HARE". The heavy set vinyl comes housed in a heavy-card gatefold cover. Also included is the original fold-out lyric sheet and the original ochre colour shaped inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) Truly stunning condition and has clearly seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A lot of the audio on this LP is very low-key and you are going to need a really top-level copy to do it justice. The audio quality is absolutely stunning and totally unhindered by interference. It plays clean! All we could detect was a couple of crackles toward the end of the outro of Track 1. Apart from that this really is truly a superb rendition...
Cover (Ex+) Why couldn't they make all gatefold covers like this? Gah! The 1st issue heavy-card gatefold is a thing of beauty. Solid as anything and looking in superb condition with only ultra-light evidence of handling. Shiny front and back and the interior is in a similar condition with just some laminate peel along that inner spine [unavoidable]. Difficult to imagine bettering. Edge wear is practically non-existent and the spine is 100% intact. It retains perfect rigidity and this is a testament to the quality of manufacture.
Inner (Ex+) No issues at all. No splits.
Lyric Sheet (Ex+) Faultless. The white interior is unaged and there are no signs of handling use.
