Scarce IMMACULATE MINT 1973 UK FIRST PRESSING Apple picture label 11-track LP, with 'Hare Krsna' and 'Hare Rama' etchings in the run-outs, housed in a fully laminated gatefold sleeve with fold-out lyric insert and golden-brown die-cut inner sleeve. The record is in ‘as new’ flawless Mint condition and sounds as wonderful as ever, while the clean and sharp cover, insert and inner sleeve fully merit an Excellent grading. See pics. A very nice collector’s copy of this forgotten blockbuster from the ex-Beatle.

This is the extremely rare real thing: a genuine immaculate MINT 1973 UK first pressing. The record and fold-out lyric insert are in flawless mint condition and the gatefold cover and inner sleeve are in excellent condition. All items are free from any major defects. See pics. The LP is the original 1973 UK stereo LP, which was only played once or twice on top-end audiophile equipment and lovingly cared for.

Living in the Material World is the third studio album by English musician George Harrison, released in 1973 on the Apple label. As the follow-up to 1970's acclaimed All Things Must Pass and his pioneering charity project, the Concert for Bangladesh, it was among the most highly anticipated releases of that year.
Living in the Material World was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America just two days after release, on its way to becoming Harrison's second number 1 album in the United States, and produced the international hit "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)". It also topped the charts in Canada and reached number 2 in the United Kingdom and in other countries around the world. Living in the Material World is notable for the uncompromising lyrical content of its songs, reflecting Harrison's struggle for spiritual enlightenment against his status as a superstar, as well as for what are generally considered to be the finest guitar performances of his career.
On release, Rolling Stone magazine described it as a "pop classic", a work that "stands alone as an article of faith, miraculous in its radiance". Most contemporary reviewers consider Living in the Material World to be a worthy successor to All Things Must Pass, even if it inevitably falls short of Harrison's grand opus. Author Simon Leng refers to the album as a "forgotten blockbuster", representing "the close of an age, the last offering of the Beatles' London era".

An album three years in the waiting following the monumental All Things Must Pass. In the meantime George had performed at the Concert for Bangladesh, and released the concerts album. In 1971 he began recording this album, recording the majority of the tracks in 1972, and finishing production in early 1973.
All the songs are very good, of the same quality and life present on the previous album. Any of these songs would have fit right into that album, or vice-versa.
The album represented the end of an era, the last of its kind, being the final album recorded by any of the former Beatles in England.
The recording sessions featured another all-star cast, similar to the Concert for Bangladesh line-up, including Gary Wright, Klaus Voormann, Jim Keltner, Ringo Starr, Zakir Hussain, Leon Russell, and "Murderin'" Jim Gordon.

A fantastic time warp example of this rarity in amazing condition, a true investment grade item - get it while you can!
