Description

Up for sale is the uber rare 'This Guitar (Can't Keep From Crying)/Maya Love' Apple demo. Harrison wrote this song as a sequel to 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' and it was the final record for the Apple Records in its original incarnation - making this the last demo of the original Apple label. Highly collectable, have been offered high price for it in the past.

What makes this record even more unusual is the fact that it has written on the plain sleeve: 'This record was given to me (Julie Clarkson) by Paul Bernet on 7/2/76 at The Corn Hall'. Julie Clarkson was a family friend which is how we came to own it. Paul Burnett (as it is correctly spelt) - being a successful and prominent D.J on the influential radio 1 powerhouse - attended a function where this demo was given. This would make it the final Apple demo the giant radio received and their final links with the Beatles.

'A perky prime cut' is scratched before the matrix on one side.

As mentioned record comes in plain white sleeve in good condition with that note scribed across it. Record is in very good condition and plays through fine (has been play tested prior to sale). Nice clean copy.

Please note that the ordinary (not demo verson) of this single, two years ago, was listed at almost £40
