Description

This Apple LP features STOCK CUT APPLE LABELS instead of the custom graphic labels (remember the Apple core) found in just about any other country of its release.

It’s from a group of Apple albums I had put together with the same stock Apple instead of common, custom designs. Albums like Wildlife, Ringo, Living In The Material World etc. can be found in certain countries with the cut Apple design. Most times the custom labels didn’t arrive in time for initial pressings so good old stock Apple labels would fill the void. Some promos also use Apples to differentiate from stock pressings. They’re a bit tough to hunt down in nice condition from these deep South American countries. Sealed outer plastic covers were used in these high humidity regions and can become tattered over the decades making the challenge even tougher. I’ve managed to get just about every album with custom labels in cut Apples and will be listing some over the next few weeks for anyone who shares this collecting niche.

All that being said here’s the last Apple LP from George Harrison, Extra Texture (Read All About It). This offered promotional pressing is from 1975 and was released in the South American country of Uruguay. It has stock, cut Apple Labels and also has a Gatefold Cover. It’s the only gatefold construction I’ve come across as compared to all other countries where it was released adding to the uniqueness of this pressing.

The condition of this obscure pressing is excellent. The vinyl is a solid VG++ playing beautifully with just an occasional hint of any surface noise, very clean. The labels are also really nice.

The plastic encased gatefold cover is in very nice condition with no major issues at all. Still very much intact all around with no rips or missing material. It’s not mint but very clean and does maintains it’s integrity completely. Difficult to find in very good ++ condition as is this one.

All in all a really nice example all around.

Please do click to see my other offerings. I’ll be selling off an eclectic collection accrued over five decades. Some truly rare Beatles pressings as well as many other artists. Odd and unusual pressings that I’ll list as time allows. For your piece of mind please search and see my seller feedback under the eBay account I formally used for passing on my collection. Search - Bobsgoods - Some of the very best vinyl seller feedback on eBay can be found there (I’m proud to state). I’ll now be using this eBay account for all my listings to simplify things but will continue to make anyone who does me the honor of making a purchase completely satisfied and pleased with their items. I pack them as I like to receive them and make a great effort to point any flaws out rather than hiding them. I want nothing more than for us both to be completely happy with any transactions.
