Description
This was the very first record issued on the Beatles own Apple label, hence the record number APCOR-1 (Apple Corp), and is a very hard to find original UK mono press of Wonderwall Music. The mono version was released only in the UK and apparently there were only 500 copies pressed.
The catalogue number is Apple APCOR 1 and the matrix numbers are APCOR 1A -1 and APCOR 1B -1. Also in the run out on each side but crossed out is AP 1A-1 and AP 1B-1. The Mother Stampers are, on side 1: ‘1’ and ‘R’ and on side 2: ‘1’ and ‘O’ The record is in practically mint condition – pristine vinyl on both sides. I have just played it through on both sides - perfect with no crackles (at least on my equipment). The labels are perfect without any sign of spindle marks. The fully laminated mono sleeve is in excellent condition, there a crease to the front only top left corner (see picture). The spine is fully readable.
The original insert with pic of George and list of the musicians and tracks is in excellent condition, clean and whole. The disc has plain white 'patent applied for' sleeve, as issued and fully intact.
