Description
Artist: George Jones & the Jones Boys, Slim Coxx, Dorothy Blakley, Herbie Remington Title: Short C&W Instrumentals Label/Number: Starday 45-295 (M) Record condition: EX Notes: This is a red vinyl EP issued by Starday in 1956. It is labeled as a "Special Disc Jockey Release" and the label is untitled, although it does have "Short C&W Instrumentals" printed on the right side of each label. I don't know if it originally came with a cover or not. The labels are in nice condition with some tiny writing on the A Side and a red, rubber stamped radio station ID and address on the B Side. There is also a sticker stain on the "Starday" on the B Side. (See photos) As noted, the vinyl is red and is bright and glossy with a few light surface scratches that lead me to grade it down a little to a conservative EX. Note, however, that it seems to be a bit of a noisy pressing so there is a little surface noise upon playback. It is a 6 song EP. Song titles are as follows:

Grading: Grading is usually only visual for VG+ or better items, although if time allows I may play to verify the quality of a pressing or just to hear the music. Don't hesitate to e-mail questions. Mailing and costs: Domestic shipping is via USPS, media mail, with delivery confirmation. I ship in cardboard mailers made specifically for records with additional cardboard pads for added protection. Shipping and handling charges are a flat $4.00 for the first record and $1.00 per additional. Overseas shipping will be via USPS First Class Mail International The price will be the actual shipping costs plus $1.50 for the mailer and pads noted above.
