This copy remains sealed and has never been opened or played. The original shrink wrap remains intact overall, with a small torn/open area on the upper front near old sticker residue. An original Recordland retail sticker remains on the front.

The light-colored jacket shows scattered age-related spotting/foxing and minor storage wear visible beneath the shrink. These cosmetic details are shown in the photos. Please examine all images carefully for the exact condition of the jacket and shrink wrap.

Because the album remains sealed, the vinyl itself has not been visually inspected or play tested.

Recorded in September and October 1982 at Different Fur Recording in San Francisco, December presents George Winston's solo piano interpretations of original compositions, traditional seasonal material and works associated with composers including Johann Pachelbel and Alfred S. Burt.

The liner notes document the inspirations behind individual selections. “Thanksgiving” was inspired by friends and places in Miles City, Montana; “Prelude” was inspired by Vince Guaraldi; “Carol of the Bells” draws from the nineteenth-century Ukrainian carol; and the three-part “Night” concludes with “Minstrels,” inspired by St. Basil's Hymn.

The recording and mastering information printed on the jacket is particularly notable. The album was recorded direct to two-track, with no noise reduction employed, and the jacket specifically credits Jack Hunt of JVC Cutting Center for the original half-speed mastering.
