Description

This is an extremely scarce copy of "Guitar Rhythm" b/w "California Blues" by the Georgia Jumpers, a group that includes Hawaiian steel guitarist "King" Bennie Nawahi. This is one of his more desirable records - two sizzling hot sides recorded April 7, 1931 and issued on Columbia 14603-D. Condition is a little better than V, possibly as good as V+ in sections, with light scratches and some graying of grooves. Underlying surface noise is even and not intrusive. "Guitar Rhythm" side has a tight, thin lam crack that was sealed at the rim years ago. This appears as a shadow on the "California Blues" side. Neither affects the playing and can barely be felt with a fingernail. Most of the surface noise is of the "crackly" nature rather than groove wear. There is also a pressing "dimple" that thumps slightly when the needle plays through it. Labels clean - with one small star sticker on each label. Media mail shipping to the U.S. is $5.00 (ebay doesn't get how much it costs to pack and ship a fragile 78, so they set a limit of $4.00. $1 will be added to your invoice to cover the extra cost).
