With these 4 10” LPs from Lumen (LD 2-408/11, French pressings, red labels, mono – no stereo editions exist) one can collect complete harpsichordist Ruggero Gerlin’s remarkable 1950s survey of the French, English, German, and Italian Schools of 17th Century keyboard music, a truly fascinating set marked by playing of the very highest quality.

Each jacket carries informative liner notes (uncredited) on the respective keyboard school, printed in French only. The extraordinary cover art for each album was executed by G. Justh.
CONDITION:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the 4 jackets is EXCELLENT throughout. All four show discoloration and general aging, but that is all. There are no bends, owners' markings, seamsplits, or other defects, and the albums remain solid, bright, glossy, highly attractive – overall, these rate as excellent collector’s copies.
The condition of the 4 LPs is VERY GOOD+ throughout. Visually, there are light marks and rubs. In terms of sound, although there is light surface noise throughout, in general playback remains enjoyable. However, those requiring flawless or near-MINT LPs are kindly advised to look elsewhere. Overall, these rates as very good collector's copies.

This LP has been carefully cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine. All LPs are provided with a new Nagaoka (or Nagaoka-style) inner sleeve.
