Description

This is the German Men's Choir Directed by Carl Hein "Das Ist Der Tag Des Herrn"  78 RPM Columbia (E2938).  Recorded in 1916, it is backed with the same group's recording of "Der Lindenbaum".   This disk is in excellent condition - shiny.

Columbia Records issued many German language records including these which were sold from 1916 to early 1917 to benefit Austrian and German war widows and orphans. The series abruptly ended when the United States entered the war.
