MURPHY BLEND - First Loss (Kuckuck 2375 005, Germany 1971)
Here we one of THE masterpieces of the german early prog scene - also one of the rarest on the legendary "Kuckuck" label - recorded from this quintet in October / November 1970. Contains 7 well composed inventive tracks (the last track "Happiness" only runs for 3/10 seconds) with outstanding guitar / organ work. Keyboard player Wolf Rüdiger Uhlig later guested on Frumpy´s 3rd album "On The Way", bass player Andreas Scholz later played in the heavy prog band Blackwater Park. Nowdays a "nearly impossible to find LP" - especially in this top condition.
This is the 100% original ( NOT the numbered limited RE ) with the sensitive cartoon like cover and machine stamped matrix number.
The cover is in top mint minus (m-) condition
The record is also in top excellent plus (ex+) condition, looks perfectly - also under light you cannot see any imperfections !! The few surface cracklings in the background - especially in the beginning of each sides - you have also on "new copies". It is on many "Kuckuck" recordings I´ve had in the past. That´s the reason I don´t give a mint minus grading !!! (Mint I only use by new and / or unplayed records)
