Description
This is a one owner album from my personal collection. This is an original 1st pressing based on matrix runout SLASH-A, brown cardboard inside cover, double-sided lyric insert, and no text on spine. The vinyl looks and sounds excellent (though the label on side one has small inexplicable scuff). The cover is VG+ with very minor chipping on upper spine. Original inner sleeve is VG+ with slight discoloration from age. Original double-sided lyric insert is excellent.
Released in October 1979 on Slash Records, (GI) by The Germs is a foundational, near-mythic album in American punk history, widely regarded as one of the first true hardcore punk records. As the band's only studio album before singer Darby Crash's suicide in 1980, it serves as a chaotic, intense, and influential document that shifted punk from a "rock" sound to a faster, more aggressive, and nihilistic style.
