Description

Thanksfor viewing my auction! My wife and I are selling off some beloved items fromour personal collections.

You are bidding on an album by the Germs, entitled "G.I." on Slash Records. This one of LA punk's most revered and beloved documents, in its original form. 

I believe this is an original pressing based on how bidding went up last time this was offered. Several people inquired about whether the inside cover was white or brown, and when I answered "brown", they got all excited. Unfortunately the winning bidder turned out to be a deadbeat and this item is being offered once again. 

This has been in the collection since the 1980s and well taken care of. It was bought from the used bin at Recycled Records of Redondo Beach CA. 

Cover rates VG, there are some bends and visible wear as seen in the photos.  Vinyl rates VG+ with some minor visible wear but sound great on the turntable. The insert is folded and torn, with tape marks revealing it once hung up on the wall of some South Bay punk rocker who looked to it for inspiration. Maybe that kid started a band who have sold more records than the Germs... or maybe he got tired of punk and sold his records to Recycled after becoming a yuppie. Anyway who cares. It's a great album and the "heavily used" condition only applies to the insert.
