From Laurie Records (LLP 2024), this is DON'T LET THE SUN
CATCH YOU CRYING by GERRY and the PACEMAKERS,
an original (first) US pressing released July 1964. Jacket is like new
showing not one flaw or blemish with bright, vibrant colours and intact seams
with perfectly blocked spine, printing dead center (NEAR MINT or better).
The original inner sleeve is present and also in beautiful condition -- no tears,
no wrinkles, no writing, absolutely no blemishes of any kind. The round-edge,
deep groove monaural LP has a near perfect label both sides and playing surfaces
appear NEAR MINT. Only a whisper of extraneous noise is present between cuts.
There are no startling pops or clicks, no constant surface noise and, of course,
no skips! In addition, there's no distortion and none of that distracting "pfft"
associated with bass drum and bass guitar. In short, the piece play-grades
a remarkable NEAR MINT and better in most places. An album this lovely comes
along only once in 25 or so years. Obviously, we recommend it with great passion.
Wherever possible we house our vinyl in Mobile Fidelity Sound
Lab inner sleeves for the ultimate in protection; we use 6-mil
outer sleeves or polyester both being the finest protection
available for LP jackets.
