Description
I have for auction a (3) 10" 78 rpm record set by GERTRUDE LAWRENCE in GLAMOROUS MUSIC FROM LADY IN THE DARK 1941 VICTOR RECORDS P-60 (P 60-1/2 MY SHIP / JENNY VICTOR 27330; P 60-3/4 THIS IS NEW / ONE LIFE TO LIVE VICTOR 27331; P 60-5/6 GLAMOROUS MUSIC / THE PRINCESS OF PURE DELIGHT VICTOR 27332) LYRICS BY IRA GERSHWIN - MUSIC BY KURT WEILL - ORCHESTRA CONDUCTED BY LEONARD JOY - The cover shows light stain at bottom of spine and around opening edge with some very light scuffs in artwork, very clean inside with sleeves in excellent condition, records are E+ and they are very early presses of the records.
When it comes to 78s, there is always going to be some background noise, so I usually take into consideration as to whether it is overwhelming or impeding the sound quality of the record. When I listen to a record that may have more scuffs and scratches than I would like, but it does not sound too bad, then I sometimes will give it a higher grade. I just cannot listen to every record and all the way through, so in my defense if I ever list a record that does not measure up to my grade, and you are not happy, just let me know and I will make it right.
E+ Very little (if any) groove wear & no scuffs or scratches. A Fine Copy
E Some minor groove wear and/or minor scuffs or scratches. An excellent copy
E- Some significant wear and some scuffs and/or scratches. A very playable copy
V+ Considerable wear and/or many scuffs or scratches. Some noise but plays OK
V Badly worn and scratched. Not playable without high noise level. A poor copy
