Description
1st PRESSING 1958 mono
Visually graded vinyl: vg+
The surfaces look mostly excellent, bu there's a pressing defect
consisting of a lump / vinyl pimple in the same location on each side:
the beginning of side 1 track 3 (Isn't It Romantic) AND
the end of side 2 track 2 (Imagination) - we play-graded these portions
and there's a brief, audible thump / soft pop / light click audible
while the stylus makes a few passes over the bump - we tested on our Technics 1200
turntable with Shure 500 cartridge tracking at 3.5 grams.
The spot-checked sound elsewhere is excellent,
with minor random low-level intermittent light surface noise;
The bass is tremendous yet natural, and the highs are still crisp.

The jacket is excellent with clean, semi-glossy lamination
and no obvious wear, intact spine and seams EXCEPT for
a 3 inch seam-split in center of the bottom edge,
and a small pair of staple holes in the upper-right corner.
Back side has detailed, fine-print liner notes by Nat Hentoff.
