Gigi Gryce and The Jazz Lab Quintet w.D.Byrd Riverside mono white DG rare   Gigi Gryce and The Jazz Lab Quintet  RIVERSIDE RLP 12-229 (USA) mono white label with deep groove - rec. in February 27 and March 7, 1957 - rare first original 1957 issue   Gigi Gryce : alto sax - Donald Byrd : trumpet - Wade Legge : piano - Wendell Marshall : bass - Art Taylor : drums Side 1 :  Love for sale (Porter) - Geraldine (Legge) - Minority (Gryce) Side 2 :  Zing went the strings of my heart (Hanley-arr.D.Byrd) - Straight ahead (Sears-arr.Gryce) - Wake up (Sears-arr.D.Byrd)    Visual grading : record is VG+ full lustre has light wear. Has few light paper's scuffs on both sides and on side 2 has also some tiny unfeelable lines. Clean labels with just a trace of spindle wear  Please note the scuff you see in the vinyl on the picture is due to a reflection of the light and it is not on the actual vinyl    Playing grading : record is EX- plays well with loud and clear sound. Has a light occasional background noise well below music's level. Very few light occasional ticks   Cover grading : cover is VG has wear to corners, edges and to spine which has a tiny piece of paper missing on top. However the spine has the titles still readable. On top right corner has clear tape (cm.7 or 3"). Back cover has age yellowing
