Description
Nice and very rare estate find. This came out of a radio station collection. Gigi Gryce and the Jazz Lab Quintet. This is the first album recorded by this renowned quintet. This 33 1/3 LP was recorded in New York City in High Fidelity on the Riverside label in February and March of 1957. The quintet is comprised of DONALD BYRD on trumpet, GIGI GRYCE on alto sax, WADE LEGGE on piano, WENDELL MARSHALL on bass and ART TAYLOR on drums. This is the very RARE WHITE LABEL initial release . The record depicted above is the actual one you will receive. I am not a record expert so please look at all of the photos and ask any questions before bidding. The sleeve has a little wear and minor soiling commensurate with age, use and storage. There is also minor bumping at the corners. No significant damage. The vinyl appears to be in very good, playable shape. The are no significant nicks or scratches. I have not played the record. It has been in clean, dry storage for at least 15 years.
